Scott Long

Scott Long currently serves as an Associate Professor of Nursing at Cedarville University, a position held since August 2019, and was promoted in 2025 after initially starting as an Assistant Professor. Long is also a Trauma and Acute Care/General Surgery Nurse Practitioner at OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital and Columbus Surgery Associates, and has been a member of the Samaritan's Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team, providing medical aid for humanitarian efforts since February 2023. Prior nursing roles include Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care Nurse Practitioner at Soin Medical Center, as well as experience in trauma and critical care as a Nurse Practitioner and Flight Nurse. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Science in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Wright State University, and both a Bachelor and Associate of Science in Nursing from Ohio University.
