Laurent Hanssen

Laurent Hanssen is a seasoned professional in the chemical manufacturing sector, currently serving as Senior Director Production, Regional Manufacturing Director, Site Director, and Managing Director at Celanese since January 2022, overseeing 19 manufacturing and compounding plants across Germany with a workforce of 1,400. Prior to this, Laurent held multiple site director positions at Nouryon from September 2016 to December 2021 and at Akzo Nobel Salt A/S and Akzo Nobel Chemicals from 2003 to 2016. Laurent's extensive background also includes roles as Plant Manager, Director of Global Supply Chain & CRM, and Logistics Manager in various divisions of AkzoNobel. Educational qualifications include a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and further studies at the University of Twente. Additionally, Laurent contributes to corporate governance as a member of the Supervisory Board for Infraserv GmbH & Co. Höchst KG and Nutrinova Netherlands BV.
