Barsam Kasravi

Barsam Kasravi, MD, MBA, MPH, currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Operations Officer at Centene Corporation since July 2025. Prior to this role, Barsam held various positions at Elevance Health including President of Medicaid for the West Region, with P&L oversight for 12 states, and President of Medicaid in California, managing 29 counties and 1.2 million members. Barsam's background includes serving as Chief Medical Officer overseeing clinical operations and provider collaboration for California Medicaid, and holding the role of Senior Medical Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Barsam began the career as a fellow at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA and has also been recognized as a Scholar in Health Policy at Harvard University, which included obtaining a Master of Public Health. Educational credentials include an MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, and additional Six Sigma/Lean certification from BCBS Florida.
