Janet Egan

Janet Egan currently serves as a Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) since July 2024, bringing extensive experience in national security and supply chain resilience. Previously, Janet held the position of Director at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet from January 2020 to July 2024, where Janet established the inaugural supply chain resilience policy team, collaborating with various stakeholders to address critical supply chain vulnerabilities. Janet also advised on technology risks and foreign interference as Assistant Director for National Security. Janet's recent research endeavors include a position at Harvard's Belfer Center, exploring artificial intelligence and national security issues. Janet has a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.
