Sachintha Mendis serves as a Data Analyst at the Center for Policing Equity’s Science Program. She contributes to CPE’s science data infrastructure efforts and conducts quantitative analyses to assess racial disparities in law enforcement outcomes.
Sachintha is also a PhD candidate at Colorado State University with a research background in applied economics, econometrics, applied statistical analysis, and policy analysis. She has an MS in Applied Economics with a Minor in Statistics from the University of Wyoming and was awarded Agricultural and Applied Economics Association’s and Western Agricultural Economics Association’s outstanding master’s thesis awards for her thesis on demand modeling. Sachintha earned her Bachelor’s degree from Wayamba University in Sri Lanka, where she is originally from.
