John Ferguson

John Ferguson is a Partner at Centerview Partners. Mr. Ferguson has significant strategic advisory and transaction execution experience across the General Industrial and Chemicals sectors, among others. Selected transaction experience includes advising Fortive on its acquisition of Industrial Scientific, United Rentals on its acquisitions of Neff Corporation and NES Rentals, Chrysler VEBA on the sale of its 41.5% stake in Chrysler to Fiat, Westlake on its acquisition of Vinnolit, John Deere on its majority stake sale of JD Landscapes (now SiteOne) to CD&R, Honeywell on its spin-off of AdvanSix and its acquisitions of Intermec and Sperian, AEA on its sale of Houghton International to Gulf Oil, HD Supply on its sale of IPVF to Shale-Inland, Solutia on its sale to Eastman Chemical, Carlyle on its sales of AxleTech to General Dynamics and Rexnord to Apollo, Bucyrus on its sale to Caterpillar, General Motors on its sales of Nexteer to Pacific Century Motors and Allison Transmission to Carlyle and Onex, Schneider Electric on its acquisitions of APC and BEI Technologies, and NAVTEQ on its sale to Nokia.

Prior to joining Centerview Partners in 2014, Mr. Ferguson was most recently a Managing Director in the M&A group at Deutsche Bank, and spent 12 years between Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Industrials groups.

Mr. Ferguson holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University and an M.B.A. from The Darden School at the University of Virginia. Mr. Ferguson is a CFA charterholder.
