Nick Reid joined Centerview Partners in 2014 to build Centerview’s client base in the UK and provide advice to Centerview’s clients, both US and European, in European situations. Since joining Centerview, Nick has advised on situations with an aggregate value of over $200bn, including advising on transactions for Unilever, BAT, Ocado, Compass Group, DSM and Henderson.
Nick joined from UBS where he led the UK investment banking business before going on to be co-head of the European business. Prior to UBS, Nick was at Goldman Sachs in London where he led the UK investment banking business.
Nick has spent over 25 years advising predominantly UK companies both on day-to-day matters and on strategic transactions. He has advised companies across a wide spectrum of different industries, geographies and jurisdictions and in a broad mix of types of transaction including mergers, demergers, hostile bid defences, activism defences, public bids, disposals, acquisitions, capital raisings and restructuring.
Nick holds a degree in Economics and Politics from Bristol University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse. He is a Trustee of the charity the London Community Foundation.
