Sherif Bedewy is the current Assistant Sub-Governor of the Licensing Department in the Banking Supervision Sector at the Central Bank of Egypt. Prior to this, they were the Operational Risk Management Head for Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon at Citi from January 2010 to December 2016. Bedewy began their career in banking at Citibank N.A. Egypt in January 1996, where they worked their way up to Senior Vice President before moving to their current position at the Central Bank of Egypt.
