JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the CFO, this position is responsible for day-to-day accounts payable / accounting for the property management (“PM”) companies.
The typical schedule for this position is a 40-hour work week from Monday through to Friday, with the typical hours being from 8:00am till 4:00pm, working from our Calgary based office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Owner of PM payables, monitoring accounts payable email, processing for commercial and residential property invoices and employee expenses.
AR cheque deposits for all companies (PM, Construction & Development)
Running the monthly PM cheque run
General accounting duties and ad hoc PM requests as required.
Daily bank runs (use of your own vehicle is required and mileage will be paid)
Support as needed for the entire accounting team
Assist with year-end audit processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic accounting knowledge or data entry experience required.
Yardi Breeze, Yardi Voyager experience is an asset.
A qualified candidate will need to be detail-oriented with proven ability to solve problems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required (English).
Previous experience working Excel required.
Access to a personal vehicle and a valid DL is required.
