Prathap Wijesuriya is an accomplished Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the Sri Lankan electrical sector. Currently serving as a Transmission Operation and Maintenance Engineer at Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) since March 2020, responsibilities include managing electrical maintenance and operations for key 132 kV and 220 kV grid substations, as well as planning maintenance for various equipment. Prior to this role, Prathap contributed to the Long Term Transmission Development Plan for Sri Lanka and Renewable Energy Integration Plans during tenure as a Transmission Planning Engineer. Previous positions include Technical Executive at MAS Holdings and various engineering internships. Prathap holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and is also an ACMA, CGMA qualified professional in Accounting and Business Management. Academic background includes a BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and education at Sri Sumangala College.
