Darshana Alahakoon has accumulated extensive work experience over the years. Darshana started their career at Voice of America as a Broadcast Engineer in 1994 and worked there until 1996. Darshana then joined Unilever as a Control Engineer at Wall's ceylon Ltd and stayed with the company until 1999. Darshana then became part of Courtaulds Clothing Lanka Pvt Ltd, where they held various roles, including Site Engineer, Manager Engineering Services, and eventually General Manager Operations. Darshana worked at Courtaulds from 1999 to 2007. After that, they served as VP Operations at Bannari Amman Apparel for a year before joining MAS Holdings as General Manager- Contourline Division from 2008 to 2010. Their next role was at Courtaulds Clothing Lanka Pvt Ltd again, this time as General Manager - Engineering, Engineering Projects & Administration, which they held from 2010 to 2015. Following that, they joined Epic Group as the Group Projects & Engineering Manager from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Darshana works at Dilmah Tea as the Head Of Engineering, a role they have held since 2018. Throughout their career, Darshana has acquired leadership experience and expertise in various engineering and managerial positions.
Darshana Alahakoon pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Royal College, Colombo, and Joseph Vaz College in Wennappuwa. This education took place between 1989 and 1994. Additionally, Darshana attended the University of Peradeniya, but specific dates of enrollment and field of study are not provided.
