Raglan Mine
We are Raglan Mine, a mining company established in Nunavik since 1997. We operate one of the purest nickel deposit series in the world. We are part of Glencore, one of the world's largest diversified natural resource companies. Our facilities include three active underground mines and a concentrator. Since we are isolated from all external resources, we have all the infrastructure required to operate a small municipality, including a housing complex, a water treatment plant, a power plant and an airport. A network of year-round roads links our mining complex to the warehouse and port facilities located in Deception Bay. In addition to our mine site, we are also located in the Inuit villages of Salluit and Kangiqsujuaq, as well as in Rouyn-Noranda, Laval, Quebec City and Toronto. We employ over 1,285 employees, over 91% of whom work on a rotating schedule. Together, we work through unique logistical challenges to achieve our vision: To be a world leader in prevention and operational efficiency, while respecting the interests of our Inuit partners.
