Joel Harper

Joel Harper serves as the Department Chair and Professor of Finance at Miami University since July 2018. Harper has volunteered with the CFA Institute since 2000 and has held several academic positions, including Department Chair and Bill G. Blair Professor of Finance at The University of Tulsa from August 2015 to June 2018, and Professor of Finance at Oklahoma State University from August 2004 to July 2015. Harper's earlier roles include faculty positions at Florida Atlantic University and Grand Canyon University. Education includes a PhD in Finance from Oklahoma State University and a BBA in Economics from Harding University. Additionally, Harper was an Erskine Fellow at the University of Canterbury in 2013.
