Jordan Posamentier

Jordan Posamentier is an experienced leader in policy and advocacy, currently serving as Vice President of Policy & Partnerships at the Committee for Children since November 2017. With a strong background in education policy, Posamentier has previously held roles such as Vice President of Policy and Advocacy and Director of Policy & Advocacy, focusing on youth safety and wellness issues, managing policy staff, and collaborating with various coalitions. Prior positions include Director of Legislative Analysis at StudentsFirst, where extensive work on education legislation across multiple states was conducted, and Legislative Counsel for the California Judges Association, advising on significant legislative matters. Posamentier also has legal experience as an Associate Attorney at Marion's Inn Law Firm and as a Summer Legal Associate at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. An educator early in the career, Posamentier taught in NYC schools, implementing music education initiatives. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and a Master of Science in Education from Queens College.
