Dennis Futrell has over 18 years of work experience, starting in 2003 as an F-15/F-22 Crew Chief in the United States Air Force. In 2007, they joined Turbomeca as an MRO Quality Engineer and Test Cell Specialist until 2012. Since 2013, they have been with CFM Materials, holding various positions including Technical Services Manager, TRUEngine Fulfillment Manager, Operations Manager, and most recently as the Director of Global Operations.
Dennis Futrell has a diverse educational background. In 2007, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology to obtain a License in Airframe and Powerplant. Following this, they pursued an Associate of Science degree in Integrated Supply Chain and Operations Management at the University of Phoenix, from 2009 to 2011. In 2016, Dennis enrolled at Texas Tech University, where they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Applied Leadership in 2017. Apart from their formal education, Dennis also obtained additional certifications. In August 2007, they acquired an Airframe and Powerplant License from the Federal Aviation Administration. In May 2019, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the Aveta Business Institute.
CFM Materials
Based in Grand Prairie, Texas, the CFM Materials, LP joint venture of GE and Safran is the world’s largest provider of used serviceable components for CFM International engines – which power such aircraft as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 commercial jetliners, as well as the Boeing KC-135R aerial tanker operated by the U.S. Air Force. In addition to its core operation, the company also sells surplus inventories for CFM International and provides inventory for its parent companies’ MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) network around the world. CFM Materials, LP has a global presence with warehouse facilities located in Grand Prairie, Texas, Amsterdam and Singapore; along with sales offices in Brussels, Belgium, Singapore and Cardiff, Wales. This overall support will extend to the next-generation LEAP-X integrated propulsion system that has been selected for the 737 MAX and A320neo. Customers of CFM Materials, LP include MRO’s and major airlines worldwide. The company became operational in May 2010, with its main campus located in Grand Prairie – which also is home to facilities for Safran Power Units, Safran Electronics and Defense, SMA Engines and Safran Helicopter Engines.
