Dawn Ward has a strong background in technological strategy and engineering leadership. Dawn currently holds the role of Deputy VP of Engineering at Chameleon Consulting Group LLC since May 2023. Prior to this, they were with BlueHalo from March 2022 to April 2023, where they served as the Director of Technical Strategy and Growth, and later as the Director of CNO SW Engineering Capability. At BlueHalo, Dawn was responsible for setting technical direction and strategy, driving growth, and advancing competitive positioning. Dawn has also worked at Parsons Corporation as a Senior Technical Director and Senior Computer Scientist and Technical Director from March 2017 to December 2021. Before that, they were a Senior Computer Scientist at Intelesys LLC, A Polaris Alpha Company from May 2016 to March 2017. Dawn began their career in the Federal Government as a Global Network Explotation and Vulnerability Analyst from January 2007 to May 2016.
Dawn Ward holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they earned between 1999 and 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dawn has obtained various certifications such as Certified Scrum Master from Scrum in 2017 and Leadership Masterclass with Pat Lencioni through WOBI in 2021. Moreover, they have acquired certificates in Design Thinking and Innovation as well as Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online in 2022, among others. Dawn is also currently enrolled in the Gallup Strengths Coach program, set to be completed in 2023.
