Amy Krystosik

Data Scientist at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

Amy Krystosik is an accomplished data scientist and consultant with extensive experience in public health and epidemiology. Currently at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Amy contributes to innovative projects and previously served as a consultant for RAC Research, focusing on climate data collection methods. As a Health Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, Amy utilized computer vision for satellite image classification. Significant research experience includes work as a research epidemiologist at Stanford University School of Medicine, where Amy studied arboviral epidemiology, and as a principal investigator at Kent State University, leading epidemiological and geospatial analyses in Colombia. Amy also has a diverse background that includes field epidemiology, community health outreach, and laboratory research. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Public Health Epidemiology from Kent State University, an MPH from Tulane University, and a B.S. in Biochemistry from John Carroll University.
