Tania Simoncelli is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in science policy and advocacy. Currently serving as Vice President of Science in Society at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative since August 2017, Tania has previously held significant roles, including Director of Science Policy and Senior Advisor at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and Assistant Director for Forensic Science and Biomedical Innovation at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Advisor at the FDA and Science Advisor at the ACLU. Tania's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biology & Society from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley.
