Ian McGregor has a diverse work experience in the energy and project development sector. Ian is currently working as the Head of Business Development for Southern Africa at Chariot Limited since April 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head of Project Development at Chariot Transitional Power, a subsidiary of Chariot Ltd, where they also managed the South African market activities. Ian founded Paramount Promotions in 2018. Ian served as the Head of Project Development at AEMP from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, Ian worked as a Commercial Business Development Consultant at Premier Motorsport from 2016 to 2018. Ian also held the position of Director: Project Development at AREN Energy from 2015 to 2016. Before that, Ian served as the Head of Project Development at iNca Energy from 2010 to 2015, where they played a crucial role in the successful development of numerous solar and wind projects.

Ian McGregor received their education in various fields. In 2003, they attended Vega School, where they studied "Building Brands Through Strategic Sponsorship" with a focus on marketing. In 2018, they briefly studied "Managerial Finance" at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In 2021, Ian McGregor pursued an MBA Alternative in "Business Administration and Management, General" at thePower. Additionally, they earned certifications in "Strategic Partnerships" from LinkedIn in 2020 and became a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute in 2012.
