Sandra Mendel

Sandra Mendel is an accomplished academic and healthcare professional with extensive experience in medical education and rural health. Currently serving as the Associate Head of School of Learning and Teaching and Associate Professor in Medicine at Charles Sturt University, Sandra oversees pre-clinical training and provides academic leadership to ensure excellence in teaching and research. Additionally, Sandra holds key roles at the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, including Deputy Censor and Director of Training, contributing to national training standards for rural generalists. With a background as a GP partner at Apple City Family Medicine and previous positions on various boards, including GP Synergy and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners' Rural Education Committee, Sandra is also experienced in governance and leadership within the medical community. Educational qualifications include a Master of Medical Education from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle.
