Wesley Ropp has extensive work experience in the financial and accounting field. Wesley worked at Charleston Water System for many years in various roles, including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Director of Financial Services, Administrator of Finance, Administrator of Accounting, and Accountant II. In these positions, they managed departments, coordinated financial activities, implemented new systems, and oversaw budgets. Additionally, Wesley also served as an Adjunct Accounting Instructor at the College of Charleston, teaching introductory accounting courses.
Wesley Ropp obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Finance, General from The Citadel between 1982 and 1988. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business/Management at the College of Charleston from 1979 to 1982. In addition to their degrees, they also have certifications in Certified Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Foundation from APMG International, obtained in August 2018, and Certified Managerial Accountant from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants, obtained in April 1990.
