Derek Wilkinson has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Derek started their career as a player for the Tampa Bay Lightning in 1995 and remained with the team until 1999. In 2003, they joined the Charlotte Checkers as the GM/Head Coach, a position they held until 2010. Afterwards, they transitioned to the role of SR VP Hockey and Business Operations/Alternate Governor for the Charlotte Checkers in 2010, where they are currently employed.
Derek Wilkinson has pursued education in the field of Business at Queens University. No specific start or end year for their education at this institution is provided.
