Yuk Chi Chan has a diverse work experience. They are currently the Founder and CEO of Charter, a Techstars-backed company focused on building a collaborative engineering management platform for spacecraft and complex systems. Prior to this, Yuk Chi Chan worked as a Founding Fellow and Writing Fellow at On Deck. They also gained legal experience as a Trainee Solicitor at Donaldson & Burkinshaw LLP, where they handled both litigation and corporate matters. Yuk Chi Chan was also involved in the space industry as the Co-Founder (Operations) and General Counsel at Anchor Orbital, where they managed mission logistics and regulatory compliance. Additionally, they served as a Battalion Staff Officer in the Singapore Army, overseeing logistics and military operations for an active-duty battalion.

Yuk Chi Chan has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Durham University. They also have a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law from UCL. In addition to their legal education, Yuk Chi Chan has obtained various certifications and training in different areas. They hold a Krav Maga Practitioner - Grade 3 certification from KMG - Krav Maga Global, as well as an Advanced Certificate in Team Leadership from Workforce Singapore. They have also undergone logistics officer training and received certifications in advanced marksmanship and combat skills from the Singapore Army. Yuk Chi Chan has obtained certifications in firearm retention and defense from the International Krav Maga Federation (UK & Ireland). They have also received certifications in digital underwater photography from The Diver's Den and in advanced adventurer (advanced open water diver) from Scuba Schools International. Finally, they have an Open Sea Kayaking Proficiency - 2 Star Award from the Singapore Canoe Federation.

Charter is building the OS to make launching spacecraft simple, to become the foundational layer on which the entire space industry runs, grows, and thrives.Charter is developing UBIK, a collaborative logistics and program management platform specifically designed to support satellite missions, and minimize engineering hours being wasted onmanual admin. UBIK provides satellite companies with streamlined processes and workflows, automation of manual tasks, and information and communications infrastructure to enable teams to work more effectively with each other, and interface with other organizations seamlessly with minimal translation effort. UBIK allows engineering teams to get back to engineering, managers to coordinate information and organize artifacts, and executives to accurately track and report key metrics at a glance.
