Paddy Padmanathan has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Paddy began their career as an Auditor at Arthur Young in 1982 and later worked as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young. Paddy then joined Grattan plc as a Financial Accountant before becoming a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche in South Africa. Paddy then transitioned to the role of Director of Finance & Corporate Services at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board. Paddy later served as the Finance Director at Education Development International plc and Head of Finance at the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Paddy then became the Director of Finance and Operations at The Royal College of Psychiatrists, where they served for nearly seven years. Most recently, in November 2019, Paddy Padmanathan joined the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors as the Finance Director.
Paddy Padmanathan obtained their A levels from St Augustine's College, Westgate, Kent, between 1976 and 1978. Paddy then pursued a BSc in Biophysics and Mathematics at the University of Leeds from 1979 to 1982.
