Leah Hart

Leah Hart serves as the Medical Director of Population Health and Family Nurse Practitioner at Chase Brexton Health Care since August 2017, focusing on primary care, infectious diseases, and transgender care services. Since June 2012, Leah has been a Technical Advisor at Jhpiego, supporting health care worker education and training to improve health outcomes globally. Previous experience includes a role as Nurse Clinician II at Mercy Medical Center Downtown Baltimore from October 2010 to July 2013, managing complex oncology cases, and serving in the Peace Corps from 2007 to 2008 focused on HIV/AIDS prevention. Leah began a career in mental health as a Psychiatric Care Technician at Mendota Mental Health Institute from 2005 to 2007. Academic credentials include a Doctorate of Public Health in Health Equity and Social Justice from Johns Hopkins, along with an MSN and MPH in Public Health Nursing. Leah also holds a BSN in nursing and a BA in Spanish and environmental studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
