Our terroir: 21 hectares of clay & limestone with iron deposits, very similar to that of the celebrated Chateau Petrus, just 1km to to the south. On the highest point of the Néac plateau; which is, as ‘Decanter’ magazine put it, '...essentially a continuation of that of Pomerol itself, and the majority of the best crus of Lalande are found in this corner of the appellation’

Our winemaker:  Thierry Garnaud, was maître de chai at Château Cheval Blanc for coming on 30 years. 
Thierry uses his genius & savoir faire, plus our grapes of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Pressac, to craft one of the finest wines of the appellation, and one of the best value wines in France- medium bodied, not over extracted, complex, suave & very drinkable, typically with notes of truffle, black fruits, spice and cacao.

Our wine: produced according to 'La lutte raisonnée' (literally 'the reasoned struggle'.) - using less chemicals than conventional growers. Full HEV (High environmental value) certification to follow this year.
Vinified in a traditionally equipped cement cuverie, old oak barrels, and new French oak from the 2019 vintage.
