Phyllis Caldwell is an independent financial services professional and owner of Wroxton Civic Ventures, LLC. Phyllis has more than 25 years of experience in banking, finance, and housing, with previous roles with the U.S. Department of Treasury, Bank of America, and Ernst & Young. In addition to Chemonics, Phyllis also serves on the boards of One Main Financial, JGB Smith, and Ocwen Financial Corporation, where she served as Chair from 2015-January 2023. She previously served on the board of Microvest, an asset manager and impact investor that invests in banks and small businesses in frontier and emerging markets. From 2013-2019, Phyllis was a member of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) Board of Trustees, serving as Finance and Audit Committee chair and board vice chair. Phyllis received her M.B.A. from the Robert H Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, where she is currently an Executive-in-Residence, and holds a B.A. in sociology and urban planning from the University of Maryland, College Park.
