Steve Prashad has extensive experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management across various industries. Currently serving as EHS Manager at Chemprene since March 2019, Steve previously held roles as EHS Engineer at Perrigo Company plc and Regulatory Compliance Manager at Calabrian Corporation. From June 2008 to April 2012, Steve worked as Environmental Affairs Manager at PSC Industrial Outsourcing Inc., managing regulatory compliance for multiple facilities across several states. Additionally, Steve served as EHS and Support Manager at Carpenter Technologies Inc. for over 16 years, where responsibilities included implementing EHS compliance programs and overseeing finishing process operations.

Chemprene was founded over 50 years ago to manufacture military coated fabric products. The product range was first expanded to include automotive and specialty diaphragm applications, and conveyor belting was added in the mid-1960’s. Today, Chemprene manufactures all three product lines in a 225,000 sq. ft. facility. We are a leading manufacturer of lightweight rubber conveyor belting, coated fabric materials, diaphragms and other precision molded products. Chemprene is a division of Ammeraal Beltech Holding BV. Chemprene’s philosophy of continuous improvement is carried out through an advanced combination of Statistical Process Control, 6S Fundamentals and Lean Manufacturing. Employee teams are expected to drive change using these tools throughout our operation. We are currently an ISO 9001:2008 certified company with customers in all major regions of the world. Using a wide array of coating and curing technologies, Chemprene can combine a broad range of elastomeric materials with many different substrates to produce products capable of meeting the most severe application challenges.
