Hubert Tissier de Mallerais joined Chenavari in September 2011 as Senior Portfolio Manager in the Private Credit business with a focus on the granular portfolios (risk sharing, new lending and portfolio acquisitions). Prior to joining Chenavari, Hubert worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) where he was a Managing Director, Head of Principal Finance and Asset-Backed Finance, responsible for developing the business, including CDOs, structured finance solutions, esoteric ABS origination and structuring activities of the bank in Europe. Before RBS, Hubert ran the origination and structuring of Consumer and Mortgage ABS in Europe for Credit Suisse London, originating, structuring and underwriting ABS and RMBS in excess of $70bn across all asset classes and jurisdictions. Hubert commenced his career with BNP Paribas where he spent five years working on leveraged finance and securitised products in Milan and London.
Hubert holds an MA in Economics and International Finance from the Institut d'Etudes des Relations Internationales.
