Madhuri Desaraju

Madhuri Desaraju is an experienced educator and technology specialist currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Chesapeake Public Schools since October 2024, with prior experience as a Teaching Assistant for 4th Grade at George W. Carver Intermediate School. Madhuri participated in the Step It Up IT Program at UST Xpanxion, focusing on mainframe development and key technologies such as REXX, JCL, COBOL, ISPF, and TSO. Previous positions include a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Information Technology at the University of Maryland, a Student Teacher in the Virginia Teachers For Tomorrow Program at Virginia Beach City Public Schools, and a Software Research Intern at Old Dominion University, where customized Android apps for dementia patients were developed. Madhuri holds a Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity from Old Dominion University, complemented by a high school diploma from Salem High School in Virginia Beach.
