Abhijit Bhatwadekar

Abhijit Bhatwadekar is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in data analytics, digital transformation, and operations management across various industries. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Chesapeake Utilities Corporation since June 2025, Bhatwadekar previously held the position of VP, Head of Data Analytics and Customer Technology at PPL Corporation, where a centralized data and AI office was established to enhance utility asset management and customer experience. Prior to PPL, Bhatwadekar was VP, Technology at Gallagher, leading the implementation of an Azure-based data strategy and CRM transformation. With a strong foundation in global analytics and cloud solutions from a decade-long tenure at Nielsen, Bhatwadekar has also held technology roles at Wachovia Securities, Greenbrier & Russel, and Tata Honeywell. Education includes an MBA and an MS in Computer Science from Illinois State University, along with completion of the Harvard Business Analytics Program.
