Brian K. Thompson Jr.

Brian K. Thompson Jr., MSW, LCSW, currently serves as the Director of Student Protections at Chicago Public Schools, where responsibilities include overseeing allegations of sexual misconduct and promoting continuous quality improvement. With extensive experience in behavioral health and crisis management across various organizations, Thompson has held multiple key positions such as Manager of Behavioral Health Supports and Lead Title IX Field Specialist. Prior to Chicago Public Schools, roles included Youth Services Supervisor at Beacon Therapeutic Diagnostic and Treatment Center and Crisis Worker for Niles Family Services, providing mental health assessments and interventions. Thompson holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a dual Bachelor's degree in Psychology and African American Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
