Fatima Cooke

Chief of Equity, Strategy & Engagement at Chicago Public Schools

Fatima Cooke has been appointed Chief of Equity, Strategy and Engagement. Prior to this position, Cooke served as the Deputy Chief of Schools for Network 5.

She served five years as principal and two years as Assistant Principal of Sumner Math & Science Community Academy in Chicago’s North Lawndale Community. Fatima is an experienced educational leader and team player with a proven track record of collaborating with school communities and increasing student achievement.

Cooke earned her B.S. from Northern Illinois University, M.S. from Chicago State University, and Ed.S. from National Louis University. She is currently completing her Ed.D from National Louis University. A product of CPS, Cooke is a lifelong learner committed to ensuring that all students have the educational foundation they need to become caring, successful, and productive citizens.
