James Higgins is an experienced Information Security professional with a comprehensive background in managing information security systems and policies across various organizations. Currently serving as the Information Security Manager for the City of Chicago since December 2017, James also holds the role of Lead Information Security Engineer at Chicago Public Schools. With previous experience that includes positions at the Chicago Sun-Times, The Pampered Chef, and Viable Network Solutions, James has demonstrated expertise in network and system security, policy development, and compliance strategies. Additionally, James has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Instructor in Computer Forensics and Information Technology since 2008. James holds a Master of Science in Information Technology with a focus on Security Management from Colorado Technical University and a Bachelor of Science in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University.
