James Malnati is an accomplished communications professional with diverse experience in media and public affairs. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Specialist at Chicago Public Schools since February 2019, James has also held roles as a Digital Media Specialist and Press Assistant. Prior to this, James worked at Jasculca Terman Strategic Communications as a Public Affairs Account Assistant, where responsibilities included drafting press releases and analyzing media coverage. Previous internships include positions at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing, focusing on data analysis and research, and at Eater, where editorial tasks and social media management were performed. James earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Sociology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University in 2018.
