Maureen Gilligan

Maureen Gilligan is an experienced educational leader with a diverse background spanning various roles in instructional leadership, program management, and teaching. At Chicago Public Schools since 2008, Maureen has served as Lead Coach, Grade Level Team Leader, and Senior Instructor Department Leader, focusing on innovative instructional methods and cross-curricular collaboration. Previously, as Director of Instruction and Assessment at JCFS Chicago, responsibilities included engaging faculty in curriculum development and overseeing state testing. Additional experience includes a data collection role at the Illinois Center for School Improvement, strategic program management at Ridge Historical Society, and positions as an adjunct instructor at Moraine Valley Community College and St. Xavier University. Maureen holds a PhD in American Studies from Emory University, a Master's in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago, and a BA in American Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
