Nora McConnell-Johnson is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in strategic planning, policy development, and teaching. Currently serving as the Manager of Strategic Planning and Data at Chicago Public Schools since May 2020, Nora has also held roles including Manager of Performance Policy and Policy Fellow focusing on equity. In addition, Nora leads the UChicago Womxn's Rugby Team as Head Coach, guiding the team to victory in the 2022 Small College 7s National Championship. Prior experience includes teaching fifth grade ELA at FirstLine Schools and engaging in fellowship roles with New Schools for New Orleans and the Orleans Parish School Board, where Nora worked on significant educational policy initiatives. Nora holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Reed College.
