Mike Dobkin

Mike Dobkin is an experienced carpenter currently employed at Chicago Scenic Studios since January 2022. Previously, Mike worked at Crooked Oak performing carpentry and field installation, where responsibilities included constructing custom closet systems and high-end furniture, operating CNC machinery, and ensuring project accuracy through precise measurements and troubleshooting. Mike also contributed to the National Veterans Art Museum as an exhibition coordinator, developing written content for the NVAM Triennial, and engaged in various roles within the arts and museum sector, including visitor services and gallery attendance. Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Museum and Exhibition Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago, a BA in Advertising and Spanish from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a certification in Woodworking and Carpentry.
