Margaret Harris is a dedicated data science intern at The Data Mine - Purdue University, focusing on market dynamics in agriculture and COVID-19 vaccination disparities. In addition to work at Walgreens as a pharmacy technician, Margaret contributes significantly as a cohort member and peer mentor with Chicago Scholars, supporting first-year students. As the Food and Housing Insecurity Team Lead at the JOSEPH E LOWERY INSTITUTE FOR JUSTICE AND HUMAN RIGHTS INC, responsibilities include overseeing research projects and enhancing team engagement. At The SUPERNOVA Research Lab, Margaret assists in advocacy research for underserved populations. Upcoming research opportunities include a scholarship at UC San Diego to explore immigration resources and a project at Spelman College analyzing religious consciousness among black mothers. Margaret’s academic journey at Spelman College, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, is complemented by earlier studies in community health at City Colleges of Chicago.
