Laura Yalanis

Laura Yalanis, CPA, MST, is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in tax services and leadership roles. Since January 2005, Laura has served as a Shareholder and Director of the Tax Services Group at KLR. Laura is also an Advisory Committee Member at the Rhode Island Foundation since December 2019, and has held the position of Past Chairwoman for the Finance Committee at Child & Family since January 2010. Additionally, Laura served on the Board of Directors for Fort Adams Trust from June 2016 to June 2019, focusing on historical preservation. Laura's leadership experience extends to the Newport County Chamber of Commerce, where Laura was Past Board President from September 2009 to April 2015, and to the Rhode Island Society of CPAs, where Laura served as a Board Member from May 2010 to April 2013. Prior to these roles, Laura was a Manager at Casten Victor & Company from October 1997 to December 2004. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Taxation from Bryant University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Florida, complemented by additional undergraduate studies at Rhode Island College.
