Patrick MacFarlane serves as the Government Relations Manager at the Child Care Resource Center since April 2019 and is currently a Policy Fellow at the National Black Child Development Institute since November 2021. In addition, Patrick holds the position of VP of Administration for the Los Angeles County Young Democrats since August 2016, along with being a member of the Golf Advisory Committee for the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks since September 2021. Previous roles include Civic Engagement and Public Policy Associate at Crystal Stairs, Inc. and Senior Field Representative for the California State Assembly, representing AD 54. Patrick's earlier experience encompasses positions at American Golf Corporation, BMS Marketing and Management Group, LLC, and Allen & O'Hara, Inc. Patrick holds an Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the University of Arizona, covering Business, Communication, English, Political Science, and Africana Studies, and is a graduate of Loyola High School of Los Angeles.

The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) has been serving children, families, and child care providers since 1976. CCRC manages programs to assist with issues such as finding and selecting child care and child care financial assistance to families. Children and families benefit from these programs, allowing parents to go to work and attend school, contribute to the economy and strengthen their families and the community.
