Dr. Kristi Martin-Smith has over 30 years of experience in the field of early education. Dr. Kristi'swork experience includes roles such as Director of Training and Education at Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers, Executive Director of the Early Education Department at Harvest Christian Academy, and Lab School Director at The Children's Courtyard. Dr. Kristi has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, teaching graduate courses in education and business departments. Earlier in their career, they held positions as a Preschool Teacher & Curriculum Coordinator at Bethesday Preschool & ChildCare and as a Kindergarten Teacher & Assistant Director at Woodlawn Gardens School. Dr. Martin-Smith has extensive experience in program management, staff development, curriculum design, and regulatory compliance.
Dr. Kristi Martin-Smith has a diverse education history. Dr. Kristi obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Studies from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2003, followed by a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Early Education Administration from the same institution between 2003 and 2006. Dr. Martin-Smith went on to pursue a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Liberty University, completing their degree in 2011.
In addition to their formal education, Dr. Martin-Smith has also obtained certifications. Dr. Kristi became a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) through the ICFE in October 2019. Furthermore, they hold a Texas Child Care Director Certificate, although the specific details regarding when and where they obtained it are not provided.
