Andrew Lam MD, MHA, EMHA, CHSE, CHSOS has extensive work experience in healthcare administration and simulation center management. Andrew Lam is currently serving as the Director of Operations at the CSC Health Simulation Center at Chinatown Service Center. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Simulation and Associate Professor at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Andrew Lam has also worked as the Director of Operations at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University. In addition, they have experience as a Hospital Simulation Administrator and Executive Healthcare Administrative at Adventist Health.
Andrew Lam MD, MHA, EMHA, CHSE, CHSOS obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a focus on Internal Medicine from Windsor University School of Medicine in 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and Human Biology from the University of Southern California.
Andrew continued their education by earning a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree from Grand Canyon University in 2016, specializing in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Andrew Lam further enhanced their qualifications by completing an Executive Master of Healthcare Administration (EMHA) program from the University of Southern California in 2020.
To complement their educational background, Andrew has obtained various certifications. Andrew Lam achieved the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association in October 2020. Additionally, they hold the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification and the Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) certification, both awarded by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) in September 2020 and January 2020, respectively. Andrew also obtained the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications from the American Heart Association in August 2019 and July 2019, respectively.

Established in 1971, Chinatown Service Center is one of the largest community-based Chinese-American health and human service organization in Southern California. CSC provides a comprehensive range of services to over 100,000 visits annually, organized under four services areas including Social Services (Senior Services, Welfare and Benefits Enrollments and Referral Programs), Federally Qualified Community Health Center (Behavioral Health, Medical, Dental and Optometry), Youth Center and Community Economic Development (Individual Financial Education and Small Business Training and Consultation). Services are available in a variety of Chinese dialects, including, Cantonese, Mandarin, Toishan, Chiu Jou, as well as other languages, such as Vietnamese, and Spanish. CSC has an annual operating budget of over $10 million, with diverse sources of funding from the federal government, State of California, the County and City of Los Angeles, United Way, Asian Pacific Community Fund, corporate and private foundations, and private donations. Your donation will help us continue to meet the many needs in our community, as well as develop new and innovative projects and that will increase self-sufficiency of low income community members.
