Chris Newbert

Chris Newbert is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Director, Legal Counsel at Choice Properties since July 2023. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP from March 2021 to July 2023 and at Miller Thomson LLP from September 2016 to March 2021, where Chris advised clients on various commercial real estate matters. Chris's legal career began at Miller Thomson LLP as an Articled Student (August 2015 - June 2016) and Summer Student (May 2014 - August 2014). Before entering the legal field, Chris worked as Team Lead in Online Billing & Support at Indigo from 2010 to 2012 and served as a Summer Analyst at Alpha Scout Capital Management Inc. in 2007. Chris holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Western University and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
