Martijn Brekhof has over 15 years of work experience. From 2019 to present, they have been a Lead Android Engineer, Senior Android Engineer, and Android Developer at Chordify. From 2018 to 2019, they were an Android Developer at Appetite - Mobile App Agency. From 2009 to 2018, they were a Teacher/Courseware Developer and Consultant at AT Computing. From 2007 to 2009, they were a System Engineer and System Administrator at Universiteit Leiden. From 2003 to 2007, they were an IT Engineer & Consultant at Kern automatiseringsdiensten BV, where they were responsible for setting up a business unit for an expert group on Artificial Intelligence techniques. Key areas included market analysis, HRM, system engineering and administration, open source, information analysis and enterprise architecture.

Martijn Brekhof received their Master's Degree in Informatica from the University of Amsterdam in 2005. In 2015, they attended Stanford University for a course in Statistical Learning.
