Eric Ruiz began their career as a Full Stack Java Engineer at Fujitsu in 2006, where they were responsible for maintaining codes and fixing application defects. Eric then joined Accenture in 2010, where they worked as a Java Integration/DevOps Engineer for various projects, including NZIR Business Transformation, ABS CBN BSS Transformation, and Korea Telecoms BSS Transformation. In these roles, they were accountable for design, coding, and application support, as well as installation and maintenance of Oracle applications.
In 2020, Eric joined Chorus NZ Limited as an Automation Engineer, where they prototyped and implemented a contract testing framework and initiated unit load testing for various solutions. Eric also started BDD testing for applications such as Fibre installation monitoring tool. In 2021, they moved to the Ministry of Health New Zealand as an Automation Engineer before returning to Chorus NZ Limited in 2022 as a Senior Automation Engineer.
