William Donaldson

William Donaldson, PhD, serves as an Associate Professor of Management at Christopher Newport University since August 2015, and previously held the title of Assistant Professor at the same institution. With an extensive background in strategic planning and management systems, William is the owner and Chief Systems Thinker at Strategic Venture Planning, working with over 60 companies ranging from startups to those valued at $1.7 billion. Additionally, William has authored two books: "Estimated Time of Departure: How I Talked My Parents to Death: A Love Story" and "Simple_Complexity: A Management Book for the Rest of Us." Since January 2019, William has contributed as an Operating Executive at Fox Three Partners, enhancing the firm's board and operational capabilities. Prior notable roles include President and CEO positions at PAR Technologies and nVIEW Corporation. William holds a PhD in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University and an MBA from William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business.
