Joseph Newcost III

Joseph Newcost III currently serves as the Safety & Security Director and Emergency Management Coordinator at CHRISTUS Health, a position held since March 2006, where responsibilities include coordinating emergency contingency plans and fostering a culture of safety and security within the hospital and the surrounding community. Prior to this role, Joseph worked at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice from June 1993 to February 2007 as a Gang Sergeant, overseeing security threat group activities and ensuring the safety of the prison environment. Additionally, Joseph held a position as Executive Asset Protection Leader at Target from January 2003 to August 2006, focusing on strategies to prevent theft and promote a safety culture. Joseph holds an Associate degree in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration from Lamar University and a High School Diploma from Abraham Lincoln High School.
