Mads Frechette

Mads Frechette is a versatile design professional with extensive experience in product and UX design, currently serving as the Founding Designer at Chroma since March 2024, focusing on programmable memory for AI. Prior to this role, Mads worked as a Product Design Consultant at Luminary Cloud, contributing to a real-time multiphysics simulation 3D web application. As a Partner and Designer in Residence at Sutter Hill Ventures from June 2020 to June 2023, Mads specialized in AI applications. Mads previously held the position of Senior Product Designer at Coursera, where significant contributions included designing the first data product for consumers and redesigning the content management system for over 70 million learners. Additional experience includes roles at Poll Everywhere, IdeaScale, CVN: Courtroom View Network, The New School, and Methuselah Advisors, supported by a Bachelor of Business Administration in Design and Management from Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from Pratt Institute.
