Greg Allen

Greg has 30 years in technical, operations, sales, and leadership roles in public and private companies. He has led teams delivering growth and turnaround strategies across many industries, including manufacturing services, industrial products, cleantech, telecoms, enterprise computing, IoT and cloud services.

Prior to Chrysalix, Greg served as the CEO of Wellington Drive Technologies (now AoFrio), a New Zealand public company and leading developer of hardware-enabled software solutions and electric motors for the global food and beverage market. At AoFrio, he successfully led a financial turnaround and oversaw the pivot of the company to IoT software solutions, with over two million IoT sensors and software installs. Before AoFrio, Greg held the role of Vice President, Industrial and Greentech Business Unit at global manufacturing services company, Celestica. At Celestica, his team delivered impressive growth results, including leading the acquisition of a large semiconductor capital equipment business.

Greg started his career in the New Zealand Army where he gained his education in telecommunications and electronics. Greg holds an MBA from Napier University, Edinburgh, and holds the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D professional designation.

His governance and advisory experience includes public market investor relations, capital planning, corporate restructuring, board and founder succession and risk oversight. He currently serves as a Director with Chrysalix portfolio company HaiLa and is a Board Observer with Liminal, Q5D and Helmee. Greg also sits on the board of NZX listed AoFrio (NZX:AOF), is a member of the Economic Advisory Committee for the City of Richmond, British Columbia, and is a member of the policy advisory committee for the Richmond Chamber of Commerce.
